SODA stands for “Students OK Without Drugs or Alcohol” and is part of the VCC (Valley Community Coalition). SODA is a group of North Fayette Valley Community School students in grades 7-12 who are choosing to make healthy choices. Members support their peers by encouraging and promoting a safe and healthy lifestyle and staying active in their community by volunteering. The program offers many substance free activities like bowling, ice skating, trips to water parks, skiing and many others as a diversion from unhealthy choices.
SODA members are asked to make a commitment to being drug-free by completing and signing a SODA Pledge Form once per school year.
Anyone in grades 7-12 who attends North Fayette Valley Community Schools can join SODA. There are no membership fees, just the requirement to stay in good membership status with the group by attending meetings and activities sponsored by SODA.
If you are interested in volunteering for, or donating to, SODA, please contact Annette Butikofer or the VCC Office.
